Between June and December 2026, thanks to the subsidies from the Municipality of Utrecht, I was able to set up feedback sessions about music production and mixing for FLINTA+ and queer people.
The sessions are free to attend and open to all levels.
My goal with this project is to respond to a clear lack of diversity within the music scene, which is also reflected in Utrecht’s cultural landscape. I want to create an accessible, small-scale, and community-driven spaces dedicated to the artistic development of queer and FLINTA music producers. While the city has a vibrant cultural scene, opportunities for structured feedback, mentorship, and peer learning within marginalized communities remain limited.
By offering free sessions in an intimate studio setting, this project lowers barriers to participation and creates a space where emerging artists can develop their work outside of commercial or institutional pressure. It contributes to the diversification of Utrecht’s music ecosystem by supporting voices that are often underrepresented in mainstream platforms.
Ultimately, I want this project to contribute to a culture of exchange and mutual support, where artistic practices can evolve through collaboration, and where new forms of expression can emerge from shared knowledge and experience.
Additionally, the project strengthens local networks by fostering connections between artists, encouraging collaboration, and building a sustainable support system within the community. In doing so, it not only supports individual development but also contributes to a more inclusive and resilient cultural infrastructure in the city.
